I made a tool to save time translating while reading

As someone who loves reading to learn new languages, I recently decided to start reading books in Dutch to improve my skills. However, as a beginner, I quickly ran into a frustrating problem: I was constantly stopping to look up translations of words I didn’t understand.It felt like I was spending more time on my phone searching than actually reading the book! After a while, it really started to take the joy out of the experience.That’s when I started thinking – what if there was a tool that could help me translate words as I read, without having to manually search for them? Hi guys, I created a simple ebook reader on top of Readium and the GPT API. The idea was to automate creating flashcards for any new words I encounter while reading foreign language literature. Before my process was the following 1. Highlight the word/phrase 2. Go back to all highlighted words when on my laptop 3. Check them in Google Translate 4. Get some context and examples from ChatGPT 5.
